Peruvian Pink Opal, is a variety of opal found in the Andes Mountains of Peru. Known for its soft, pastel pink to peach colour.
Its pink coloration is typically due to the presence of trace amounts of manganese within its structure.
Pink opal belongs to the common opal category, meaning it doesn’t exhibit the vibrant ‘play-of-color’ seen in precious opals like black opal.
Western Australia produce pink opal, typically characterized by a more opaque, milky appearance due to its composition as opalized radiolarite.
Limited deposits occur in Idaho and Oregon, offering pink opal with unique characteristics depending on the specific location.
What is GOLD FILLED?
Gold-filled is composed of a solid sheet of 14k gold bonded with heat and pressure to a sheet of jewellers bronze.
Why is it called Gold Filled? The jewellery industry are legally obligated to identify 14k Gold filled jewellery. Items made with gold filled are marked 1/20 14K GF or 14/20 GF when applicable.
IS GOLD-FILLED jewellery real gold? Yes 14 karat Gold Filled is a layered gold material created by permanently bonding a thick layer of 14 karat Gold to a bronze core. Gold filled jewellery is Hypoallergenic. Gold filled and gold plated jewellery may look similar when new, but their construction is very different. Gold filled contains a substantial bonded gold layer, while gold plated products rely on a much thinner layer of gold applied to the surface of another metal. When compared to gold plated Jewellery, Gold-Filled is designed for durability, consistency, and long-lasting wear.
Gold-filled jewellery may be the most durable alternative to solid gold, but it isn’t immune to tarnishing. By looking after your gold-filled jewellery correctly, you can extend its lifespan by years or decades. While you can shower and swim with gold-filled jewellery, it’s better to keep it as dry as possible. This includes lotions and sweat, so it’s best to remove all gold-filled jewellery while exercising or moisturising. To protect your gold jewellery against scratches, remove it during vigorous activity, such as moving furniture.

Measure Your Wrist Accurately
Measuring your wrist is the first and most critical step in finding the perfect bracelet size. It’s crucial to measure accurately to ensure your bracelet fits comfortably.
-
To measure your wrist, you'll need a flexible measuring tape or a piece of string and a ruler.
-
Wrap the measuring tape or string around your wrist, just above the wrist bone. If you're using a string, mark the point where it overlaps.
-
Lay the measuring tape or string flat and use the ruler to measure the length in centimetres.

Measure your wrist size
Step 1: Wrap the tape measure just above the wrist bone so that it fits snugly without feeling too tight or too loose.
Step 2: Mark where the tape measure overlaps. This is the exact circumference of your wrist.
Note: You can substitute the measuring tape with a string or ribbon and use a straight ruler to measure the length from the point of overlap to the end.
If it is not done properly, then the size will be inaccurate and I will make a bangle based on the loose size, which always has led to returns being too big.
Just to let you know, most people make the tape loose because they worry that I will make a “tight bangle”. This is not the case.
